Dr. Colleen Monroe DC, LMT
Dr. Colleen Monroe founded Mainely Chiropractic in 2012, to help patients reach achieve balance through healing and strengthening. Prior to opening Mainely Chiropractic, Dr. Colleen had over 10 years of bodywork experience as a Neuromuscular Massage Therapist treating: high school, college, and professional athletes; stroke patients; pre-surgical and post-surgical patients; and people needing something more than a “fluff and buff” massage. She incorporates her previous knowledge into her care of the patient, creating a one of a kind chiropractic adjustment.
Her true passion has always been the human body and the complexity of function. It was this passion that led her to the healing arts and the chiropractic program at Life University. During chiropractic school she was: Vice President of the Functional Rehabilitation Club, where she taught others about optimum function; an active member in the Thompson technique club, receiving club certification; an active member in Chiropractic Biophysics Club, working to explain the importance of correct posture to spinal health and overall function. She also participated with the SOT club, activator club and full spine club.
Dr. Colleen loves the outdoors and spends her free time camping, walking on the beach, cycling, cross country skiing, up-cycling, hiking, kayaking and spending time with her boyfriend, her family (her sister has four amazing children) and friends.
